Tasty Tuesday: Easy snack recipe for the sweet tooths!

Originated from Spain, Portugal, and the Philippines, Churro is a fried-dough pastry; a mouthwatering choux-based snack. It is easy to make and goes perfectly with any sweet sauce of your preference.

Follow this easy recipe and see that smile on your loved ones when they devour these heavenly droplets of pastries. Making evening snacks cannot get easier than this.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 large egg

Method:

  • First, take an empty pan and add a cup of water.
  • Add 1/2 cup of butter, sugar, and salt and bring it to a boil.
  • Then add a cup of flour and mix till it forms a soft gooey dough.
  • Add one big egg and mix it to the dough using a wooden spatula.
  • Put the mixture into a piping bag with a big open star nozzle.
  • Fry the churros on a pan with oil till they are light golden in color.
  • Take the churros out of the oil and coat them with sugar and cinnamon.
  • To make the chocolate sauce, simply take half a cup of chocolate and half a cup of condensed milk.
  • Put it inside the microwave for 10 to 15 sec till they melt.
  • Mix and drizzle over your fried doughs and you are ready to serve scrumptious churros.
