Glastonbury Festival- Top 5 Guidelines for the Festival!

Glastonbury is the largest greenfield music and performing arts festival in the world. And the template for all other festivals that have come after it. It’s a city-state all of its own, a hip and thrilling land where creativity reigns. Set in the Vale of Avalon, in over 900 acres of beautiful rolling countryside that is swathed in myths and legends back thousands of years, this unique setting as a place of spirituality feeds seamlessly into the festival.

Glastonbury Festival, 2022

1. About Glastonbury:

The festival site has distinct socio-geographic relations. The more commercial aspect is around the Pyramid, Other, and Dance stages, which feels like the West of London on a Saturday night has been removed to a field and thoroughly beautified.
To accommodate more laid-back revelers, more chilled-out areas like the Jazz world and Acoustic areas are within easy walking distance. If that’s still not the relaxed state a Glasto-goer is after, that’s also oriented areas like the KidZ field, the Theatre, and Circus fields. And if you’re more into the alternative, less noisy aspect of festival life you can always head up to the field of Avalon, the Tipi Field, and the Green Field.
At the top of the site is the Sacred Space- the stone circle is a Modern construction, but it has already seen as much celebration and ceremony as some of its forebearers. Sun-up on a Sunday morning with drums and torches and chanting and an astonishing measure of joy from the sleepless revelers at the Stone Circle is a glorious sight to behold.
Many people now choose to make a full week of it because of the festival and stunning Somerset location, so if it all gets a bit much there is plenty to do in the surrounding countryside.
