Sunday Social: 5 ways to celebrate Father’s Day

Are you looking for meaningful things to do to celebrate Father’s Day? Check out our list of fun activities to create lasting memories with your Pops!

1. Backyard Movie Night

Spend this father’s day by hosting a perfect BBQ and movie night in your backyard. It is the best way to engage with your family from home. Hire a projector and make a bed-sheet tent in your backyard. Move some chairs, cushions and put on those fairy lights. Get all the snacks that are your father’s favorite. Make sure to have plenty of ice beverages. You are ready to play the favorite movie that you guys used to bond over.

2. Outdoor activities

If your father is a fan of outdoor activates then plan the day out in advance to do something adventurous. Go fishing or on a boat excursion. You can also plan for a road trip or a hike. You can opt for going to play golf or other sports that your old man loves.

3. Make Something Together

Sometimes all you need is good food and quality time with your family. If your father is a foodie and loves to cook, then prepare a bbq dinner together. If your dad is into crafts, then build something together. There are plenty of craft ideas and kits that you will find online.

4. Go Camping

Camping put families in touch with something primal. Spending time under the stars, and connecting with the natural world is very essential. So this father’s day, plan a camping trip with your Dad. Bond over deep conversations and the meaning of life.  Hike, swim, gather firewood, organize a scavenger hunt, or just share old stories together to strengthen your bond and make him feel appreciated.

5. Learn New Skill

A great way to take dad around the world without leaving home is to enroll in a cooking class! Cooking classes can be an enjoyable thing to do together, or if dad is looking to up his game, you could enroll him in a series of classes he can attend on his own. There are few better ways to say “I love you” than good food!
