Solem Quartet at The Vera Fletcher Hall

On Sunday, October 23, at 7 p.m., the Solem Quartet will perform in Thames Ditton’s Vera Fletcher Hall.

The Solem Quartet is renowned for its well-chosen programming. The group’s current “Solem Lates” project, “Beethoven Bartók Now,” pairs the works of these two titans with six significant commissions, giving these classic masterpieces fresh life and relevance. Their upcoming concert is in Vera Fletcher Hall.

LUMAS WINDS> Chamber Ensemble free lunchtime recital

The City Music Society’s former vice-chairman Eric Falk is honored with the performance in his honor.

Friendships made at Chetham’s School of Music and the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain led to the creation of Lumas Winds in 2018.

They were invited right away to record their debut CD for the Champs Hill Record label after their performance at the coffee concert series in Champs Hill, West Sussex, was so well received.

The chamber group Lumas Winds is offering a free performance. Join us for 45 minutes of exquisite music over your lunch break.

International Concert Series 2022-23: Samuele Telari (accordion)

Samuele Telari, an up-and-coming star in the concert world, has performed at Wigmore Hall and the Schlern Music Festival, as well as recitals at the Saffron Hall, Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Verbier, Wimbledon, Cheltenham, and Deal Festivals.

He has also worked with the Leonkoro, Esmé, Simply, and Ema Nikolovska Quartets. Samuele will perform an evening of accordion music at Royal Holloway, and we can’t wait to have him here.

Chopin Festival – Gala Concert

The Chopin Festival honors Fryderyk Chopin, a singular musical genius, and will take place throughout the weekend of October 15–16, 18:00 BST, at Polish Social and Cultural Association POSK 238-246 King Street London W6 0RF United Kingdom

The Gala Concert will feature performances by Janusz Olejniczak, winner of the International Chopin Competition, and Adam Palma, a superb guitarist who will wow the audience with stunning arrangements from his album Adam Palma meets Chopin.

The outstanding voices of Ewa Majcherczyk (soprano) and Marcin Gesla (baritone), along with the beautiful Ewa Osiska on piano, will perform a selection of Chopin songs.

The magnificent Romanza: Larghetto from Chopin’s Piano Concerto No. 1 in E minor, Op. 11, will be performed by the gifted Artur Haftman to kick off the Gala concert.
