Start Again: How We Can Fix Our Broken Politics

Author: Philip Collins
In his latest book, The Times columnists Philip Collins explores different options as to how restarting politics could put an end to Britons disenfranchisement with the current system and get citizens involved again.
It is no secret than in recent years politics has divided the nation. Policies, elections and referendums have highlighted the societal consequences of politics. Young people blame the older generations. There is a growing class problem. Immigration is becoming one of the population’s top concerns.
How can all this be fixed? Drawing from his knowledge and experience in politics, Collins presents a series of proposals as to how a rebooting of British politics could lead to the building of a fairer UK in which people feel more connected and are less prone to feeling neglected by the system.
In Start Again, Collins sets a possible political agenda for a future. His proposals could be what people need to start new conversations about what they want to achieve through exercising their right to vote and get back into politics. The ideas are well articulated and easily understandable. It is both hopeful and optimistic.
