Stars Set to Perform at Stonewall Gives Back! Benefit Livestream

Cyndi Lauper and Troye Sivan are just two of the artists that are set to come together to perform as part of the Stonewall Gives Back Livestream, a benefit concert in support of LGBTQ+ nightlife industry workers.

Organised as part of The Stonewall Inn Gives Back Initiative, this event will be hosted by RuPaul’s Drag Race judge Michelle Visage and is taking place this Thursday, on 23 April.

The Stonewall Inn Gives Back initiative, which is the official charity of the iconic Stonewall Inn in New York City, hopes that this event will help raise vital and much-needed funds for LGBTQ nightlife industry workers who have been affected by the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

The Stonewall Gives Back! event will be produced by Erich Bergen, who recently produced the Saturday Night Seder streaming event which raised over $2.9 million.

Speaking to Variety, Bergen said: “I think this pandemic has made it even more clear just how vulnerable some of our communities actually are… We are coming together to respond to this crisis in a collaborative way, through music, which is the great unifier.”

Event co-producer, Brett McLaughlin, also added: “So many careers are built and sustained by the support of the LGBT nightlife community. It’s our turn and duty to support them during this time of need.”

Other artists who are set to perform include; actor Alan Cumming, Greyson Chance, Kim Petras, MUNA, Our Lady J and Nina West.
