Soho Music Month Set to Celebrate Diversity in London

Soho Music Month is an exciting movement developed to celebrate the rich diversity of the capital whilst celebrating and showcasing emerging creative talent.
This June sees the festival spring into action – the event will take place across multiple venues and both Carnaby and Soho will unite to celebrate this cause.
The free music and culture centred showcase was arranged in accordance with the Mayor of London’s ‘Sound Like London’ campaign and will therefore highlight the area’s rich music heritage.
The Soho Music Month programme will include a number of outdoor gigs (every Thursday evening) along with the first ever All Female Vinyl Market and a dedicated Music Month Hub.
There will be a series of in-store performances, talks, live broadcasts and workshops. There will also be an exhibition space titled ‘PLATFORM LDN’ which will host several exciting events (such as exclusive book signings and live broadcasts).
There will also be dedicated showcases designed to present new and emerging talent to the public. These acts will be handpicked by female trailblazers from Julie Adenuga, the Beats 1 anchor and one of London’s most vital tastemakers, to Grammy Award winning British singer-songwriter Carla-Marie Williams ( also the founder of Girls I Rate, a not-for-profit organisation).
You can also expect to find, throughout June, music and joy on every corner of Carnaby and Soho. Happenings include jazz sessions at The Duck & Rice and an instore performance from Swedish singer-songwriter Natali Felicia at Sandqvist.
There is loads to explore and celebrate at this month-long event. For the full programme check out carnaby.co.uk.
