Singapore Nightclub Zouk to Turn into Cinema

The mega nightclub Zouk is going to turn the dance floor of its main room into an “immersive” cinema to adapt to the COVID-19 crisis. Puza Snigdha reports.

The world-class nightlife is now taking reservations for its pop-up “Zouk Cinema Club” and has announced that it is open four days a week, Wednesday through Saturday, to show movies at the 640sqm space. The cinema will open from 6pm to 10:30pm the night before public holidays.
“Kick back with food and drinks and enjoy some of television’s greatest films in a space like no other, with movie screenings and theatrical decor built around distinct monthly themes,” the club announced.
It is the most recent move by the Clarke Quay setting in a pandemic that has put a stop to normal dance club activities.

However the club is re-opening with it’s safety measures, such as each person will be seated at least a meter apart and tables will be cleaned every 30 minutes. The staffs will be changing their masks every four hours and food, water bottles, ice-box everything will be covered.
Maximum five people are allowed to sit together per table with one meter distance.
On Wednesdays, entry for two will cost $75 per table with a jug of drink. Thursday through Saturday will cost $150 with a bottle of Moet champagne.
