‘Simmba’ took B-town by a storm and the first song from the film has created a similar effect. The recreated version of the 90s hit ‘Aankh Marey’, that featured actors Arshad Warsi, Chandrachur Singh and Priya Gill, has now been newly presented by Tanishk Bagchi and features the voices of Neha Kakkar, Mika Singh and Kumar Sanu.
The song also features a cameo of the ‘Golmaal’ team. Kunal Kemmu, Shreyas Talpade and Tushar Kapoor appear halfway through the dance number and in an homage to the original song from ‘Tere Mere Sapne’, Arshad Warsi appears and he is seen lip-syncing to Kumar Sanu’s voice.
The songs are composed by Tanishk Bagchi, Lijo George – DJ Chetas and S. Thaman while the lyrics are written by Shabbir Ahmed, Rashmi Virag, Kumaar and Kunaal Verma. The song “Aankh Maare Ladka Aankh Maare” from the 1996 movie Tere Mere Sapne was recreated for the film and the music produced by Bharat Goel, Aditya Dev, and Chandan Saxena.
