Shakib & Liton Leaves Dhaka to play CPL

> Dipto Paul

World’s best all-rounder cricketer Shakib Al Hasan and Bangladesh wicket keeper batsman Liton Das left Dhaka on Wednesday to play Caribbean premier League (CPL).

While leaving the airport they did not talk with the media.

Shakib will play for Barbados Tridents and Liton for Jamaica Tallawahs.

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) provided the ‘No Objection Certificate ‘to Liton yesterday though Shakib got this previously.

Liton is the fifth player of Bangladesh playing in the CPL.

In previous, Shakib, Tamim Iqbal, Mahmudullah Riad and Mehedi Hasan Miraj played in the CPL.

In this season, another Bangladeshi Afif Hossain also called to play CPL but BCB did not provide him certificate as he has busy schedule with national cricket.

This season’s CPL started from 5th September.

With just two wins so far in this season, Barbados Tridents are at the 4th spot of the points table. Shakib could be a great addition to Barbados Tridents’ squad as they get closer to the qualifier stages.

On the other hand, Liton’s Jamaica Tallawahs is at the last of the point table with 6 loss in 8 games.
