Seven-Year-Old YouTuber Earns £17.3m within a Year

A seven-year-old US primary school boy Ryan has topped a list of the highest-earning YouTube stars raking in $22m (£17.3m).
From June 2017 to June 2018, Ryan, from Ryan ToysReview, made the sum for his online reviews. He has collected more than 17 million followers and close to 26bn views since launching his main channel in 2015.
According to the magazine Forbes, the huge amount of money made through Ryan’s channel came from adverts that run before his videos start. 96% of the revenue came from ads and the rest of the money came from sponsored posts.
Ryan’s parents set up the channel and his videos usually focus on the child opening and playing with a new toy. Forbes said it was mainly prepared of children about his own age.
While he was asked why kids liked watching his videos, Ryan replied: “Because I’m entertaining and I’m funny.”
The Forbes magazine stated as Ryan is young, 15% of his earnings are placed in a special account, in which they are protected until he becomes matured.
