Scream: Familiar faces return as new Ghostface

A super brand-new trailer for Scream 5 which is also officially titled as Scream just released.

Scream is directed by Matt Benttinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. The fifth installment follows up 25 years after the initial Woodsboro murders, just after the events of Scream 4. A new killer dons the Ghostface mask.

However, this is the first Scream film which is nor directed by Wes Craven we lost him in August 2015.

Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, and David Arquette reprise their roles as Sidney Prescott, Gale Weathers, and Dewey Riley, respectively, from the original cast.

Melissa Barrera (In The Heights), Kyle Gallner (Veronica Mars), Mason Gooding (Booksmart), Mikey Madison (Better Things), Dylan Minnette (13 Reasons Why), Jenna Ortega (You), Jack Quaid (The Boys), Marley Shelton (Planet Terror), Jasmin Savoy Brown (The Leftovers), and Sonia Ammar (The Leftovers) are among the new cast members.

An official synopsis reads: “Twenty-five years after a streak of brutal murders shocked the quiet town of Woodsboro, a new killer has donned the Ghostface mask and begins targeting a group of teenagers to resurrect secrets from the town’s deadly past.”

The new trailer clip shows the masked assassin harassing a fresh group of adolescents, as well as cameos from David Arquette’s Dewey Riley, who calls Neve Campbell’s Sidney to inform her that a new Ghostface has arrived, and Courteney Cox’s Gale Weathers. Watch it below:

It was 1996 when the original scream released. The next Scream will be released in 14th January 2022.
