Saturday report: The New Normal

In the process of minimalizing the intense adverse effect of COVID-19 on the present world, we have now landed on the nouveau term, “the new normal”. The pandemic has dramatically flipped the horizon with new dimensions of social satisfactions. Ismat Zarin reports.

Esteemed readers I reckoned we are squeezed to accept it as our own world is fading to provide us even with the basic right to survive. To put it another way, the COVID-19 pandemic has added a new dimension to the social stratification namely: The COVID-19 positive and the COVID-19 negative.

The COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically flipped the horizon of medical services around the globe. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic had even taken the human right of receiving medical treatment if the person is infected by the virus. The underlying reasons of course are multi-folds.

In essence, the high vulnerability of the corona patients to expire due to severe acute respiratory syndrome has made the negation from the medical bodies to treat such patients. To add to that, the absence of any proven medication for COVID-19 has significantly lowered the possibility of receiving medical treatment for it.

To add to that, not only in the LDC (Least Developed countries) e.g. Cambodia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc but also in the developed countries eg, Italy USA, UK, etc. In the inaccessibility of less availability of ventilation, facilities have deepened the concerns in treating COVID-19 patients.

More alarmingly, the super ineffective nature of the disease has led many doctors and hospitals to limit treatment towards COVID-19 negative patients only. So shouldn’t you jubilate if you are COVID-19 negative?
