Who doesn’t like a good smoothie? Especially in the summer months, a smoothie can be a dose of delicious refreshment!
I got the chance to try out Sambazon frozen smoothie packs – the base for cold, fresh smoozies and Acai bowls and I decided to try my hand at both!
I decided to try my hand a smoothie first – I gathered strawberries, apricots & bananas, poured in a generous helping of Oatly Barista and added two packs of Sambazon.
*I’m not greedy – I added two to share!
The sweetest of Sambazon blended nicely with the creaminess of Oatly; its sweetness was needed to counteract the bitterness of the fresh fruit added and made for a perfect combination.
The smoothie was a big hit and went down a treat in the newly found British heat!
Next on the to-do list was to give the Acai bowl a go. I was slightly more dubious of this one as I have never actually had a smoothie bowl before but I was also excited!
I blended another two packs of Sambazon, Oatly Barista and fresh strawberries and poured this into the bottom of two bowls. Then I chopped up some more strawberries and bananas, added some maple and pecan cluster oats and sprinkled some dairy-free chocolate covered peanuts and dairy free chocolate buttons to ‘garnish’.
If you’ve never swapped your cereal milk for a smoothie before, give it a go – you will not be sorry. The added sweetness and fruity flavour complimented the oat clustered perfectly and you can never go wrong with throwing some chocolate on top!
Sambazon gets a thumbs up from me and I look forward to trying many more recipes this summer!
