Since opening last year on Birmingham’s Bennetts Hill, Dirty Martini has become a staple of the city’s nightlife.
Now it’s shaking up the bar scene even further through an inspired partnership with Beefeater Gin, to create a Summer selection of cocktails for you to enjoy from day to night. The WhatsOn team were kindly treated to sample this new range, and our taste buds were not left disappointed!
There is no doubt that gin is in and Beefeater’s new Pink and Blood Orange gins provide the perfect base for the attractive array of cocktails on Dirty Martini’s summer drinks menu. Those seeking the strawberry flavours of Beefeater Pink can enjoy it mixed with pineapple, citrus, coconut foam and more strawberries in the satisfyingly sweet ‘Strawberries & Dreams’. Or for the touch more tropical, try ‘I Lychee Like That’ – Beefeater Pink and Bold London Spirit with watermelon, lychee, citrus and strawberries. Along with a twist on the classic G&T – Beefeater Pink and tonic water served with dehydrated pink grapefruit slices and fresh mint – these cocktails form one half of the cleverly crafted, social media savvy #HouseofPink vs #HouseofOrange menu.
On the menu’s other side, Beefeater Blood Orange is combined with Passoa, fresh passion fruit, vanilla, citrus, egg white and Prosecco in the refreshing concoction that is ‘Summer Lover’. Meanwhile ‘Life’s a Peach’ proved to be as light and delicate as its pretty floral garnish, a moreish mix of Beefeater Blood Orange, Frangelico, peach, peach schnapps, eucalyptus, citrus and egg white. And again, those with the thirst for a G&T can have it quenched with the Blood Orange version, complete with dehydrated orange slices and fresh rosemary.
All of these seasonal specialities are in addition to Dirty Martini’s already exciting assortment of cocktails, along with a choice of mocktails that successfully blend fruits and herbs, including the ‘Raspberry and Chamomile Cooler’ and ‘Blueberry and Mint Smash’.
For us at WhatsOn it was an ideal way to see in the weekend on a Friday afternoon – an important part of the work-life balance which Dirty Martini has recognised through their new Summer Bottomless Brunch.
Available from 7 June to 1 September, you can enjoy bottomless G&Ts, prosecco, a choice of three martinis (Passionfruit, French & Espresso) or beer for 90 minutes, alongside a beautifully presented birdcage of sharing food. Nibble on a selection of crispy arancini, mini beef and cheese sliders, sweet potato fries, spring rolls and more.
With extra Friday sittings just added at 2.30pm and 4.30pm, Dirty Martini is the place to be for the perfect office drinks to kickstart your weekend!
