Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so why not treat yourself to something a bit different to your normal bowl of cereals and try out this recipe for some fluffy pancakes?
Ingredients:
- 500g sifted flour
- 4 tablespoons baking powder
- 960ml warm milk
- 170g melted butter
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 egg whites
- maple syrup
Method:
First, whisk together the flour and baking powder in a large bowl, and in a separate bowl mix together the butter, milk and egg yolks. In a third bowl, use a mixer to beat the egg whites until soft.
Next, pour the milk mixture into the flower mixture and stir together until combined. After this, add in the beaten egg whites and gently fold into the mixture.
Heat a nonstick skillet over a low heat, and add in some of your pancake batter (roughly 1/4), smooth out over the top, and then cover with a lid. Cook until this has turned golden brown on the bottom, roughly 20 minutes.
Finally, wait to cool down, serve with maple syrup and enjoy!
