Video-on-demand providers Rakuten TV have been announced as the headline sponsors of this year’s Empire Awards. With this new partnership, Rakuten TV are hoping to reach out to Empire Magazine’s loyal readership.
Rakuten TV’s motto perfectly encapsulates what they aim to achieve: ‘Your Cinema at Home’. Through their service, film fans can enjoy the latest films without having to leave their house. They can curl up under a blanket on their own sofa and enjoy the latest films soon after their release in cinemas.
As part of the partnership, Rakuten TV won’t just simply feature as the headline sponsors at the ceremony. They are also sponsoring three of the awards: Best Actress, Best Actor and a surprise award that will be announced on the night.
Rakuten TV’s campaign to capture the business of Empire readers will be spread across all of the magazine’s platforms: print, website, digital and their podcast. The editorial content on the Empire Awards (including interviews and other coverage) will bear the Rakuten TV logo.

This year’s Rakuten TV Empire Awards will be happening on 18 March at Roundhouse in Camden, London.
