Rafael Nadal Made History!

Rafael Nadal becomes the fourth man in Tennis history to win 1000 matches in a career. Dipto Paul Reports.

After beating Spanish star Feliciano Lopez by 4-6, 7-6 (5), 6-4 yesterday, the 34 years old champion reached this milestone.

Now, Rafael Nadal stands along with three of Tennis greatest players who reached this milestone including Jimmy Connors (1,274), Roger Federer (1,242), and Ivan Lendl (1,068).

“I know it is a very special number, one thousand,” Nadal said.

“Even if it’s not the same to celebrate something like this without a crowd,” he added.

It is the second milestone of Nadal in Paris this year, while he won the French Open last month to tie Federer with 20 major titles.
