Queen and Adam Lambert release charity single ‘You Are The Champions’

The classic Queen track ‘We Are The Champions’ has been given a rework, with a new version of the song set to be released as a charity single called ‘You Are The Champions’ in aid of COVID-19. Tara Pilkington reports.

In a press statement for the charity single release, Queen and Adam Lambert have said how they hope that this new version of ‘We Are The Champions’ will provide some consolation for fans after the band have been forced to postpone their European and UK tour until 2021.

First delivered as an online performance from the member’s respective homes and shared via guitarists Brian May’s Instagram two weeks ago, the single has now been officially released with all proceeds going to the WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund.
