Here are native Chicagoans delighted that the chef once cooked at Alinea, pescatarians excited about the famous carrot crêpe with clams, and a bevy of Instagram-loving locals and tourists. Greg Baxtrom understands vegetables, but his skills are diverse, and extend to fish and game. The food at Olmsted is extraordinary–both in it’s preparation and creativity. Prices are definitely reasonable for the cuisine, service, etc. The attention to every detail by the staff is superb. Desserts and drink menus are unique and excellent as well. The guests need to make reservations 30 days in advance to get the best times. Don’t miss it if in NYC. There’s a garden in the back where you can have a cocktail next to a bed of growing herbs.
