Slipknot's Shawn Crahan Mourns After Daughter's Death

American musician Michael Shawn Crahan, more commonly known by his stage persona “Clown” is mourning following the death of her 22 years old daughter Gabrielle Crahan.
Just days after the Iowa heavy metal band revealed details of its upcoming album and performed on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” Crahan shared the news on social media.
“It is with a broken heart, and from a place of the deepest pain, that I have to inform all of you that my youngest daughter, Gabrielle, passed away yesterday – Saturday May 18th, 2019. She was 22 years old,” wrote Shawn Crahan on Sunday by the Heavy Metal Band’s social media account.
“My family and I ask that our privacy be respected moving forward,” he added.
Gabrielle is Crahan’s youngest daughter with wife Chantel. Crahan has three other children: daughter Alexandria and sons Gage and Simon.
“Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming. My family and I ask that our privacy be respected moving forward. Thank you. Much love, clown.”
Alexandria discouraged people from speculating on her sister’s cause of death, posting text over a screen grab of a Reddit thread in which people were talking about the topic. She also wrote in the comment secion below her original post,
“Everyone can wonder all they want. There hasn’t been an autopsy yet. We don’t have all the answers. You can wonder but don’t fucking ask me or talk about it with others on the Internet as if any of you know my family.”
However, the reason of Gabrielle’s death is still unknown.
