Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison is Getting Tributes by Many

Stuart Murdoch, Franz Ferdinand’s Alex Kapranos, Mogwai’s Stuart Braithwaite, Los Campesions, Rob Taylor, Bryce and Aaron Dessner, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody, alt-J, PAWS, Josh Ritter and more are paying tribute to frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchison.
Scott Hutchison, frontman of Scottish folk band Frightened Rabbit, two days after bandmates reported him missing, has been found dead in Edinburgh. The young star was only 36 years.The musician, who was due to play at Bella with Frightened Rabbit, also died earlier this year.
The indie band played the Frightened Rabbit singer’s Heads Roll Off on the main stage on Friday night.
In a concert on Friday night, Frightened Rabbit’s singer’s Heads Roll Off was played by the indie band on the stage.
The Natiional arranged two day music festival. “ About Today ” the track by The National was dedicated to Scott Hutchison in remembarence of him. They also performed ‘I Need My Girl’ and ‘Sorrow’ with Phoebe Bridgers, Cat Power’s “Maybe Not.”
On saturday, they played 23 track seaturing “Light Years,” “I’ll Still Destroy You,” and “Fake Empire.” The major highlight of the set was the band’s cover of “Maybe Not.”
Hutchison is also being coppied by many other bands on musically.
Ben Gibbard said, “I’m blown away less frequently than I once was, and ‘The Midnight Organ Fight’ kind of came into my sphere at a pivotal time for me when I was going through a difficult time in my life.”
“I find myself having those epiphany moments with a band, and those moments are fewer and far between.”
