Ambulance Workers Cover Foo Fighters’ ‘Times Like These’ to Raise Fund

A group of ambulance workers in UK have gone viral online since sharing a video cover of themselves covering the Foo Fighters‘ track ‘Times Like These’ for charity. Puza Snigdha reports.

Members of the North West Ambulance Service in the Cumbria have covered the popular Foo Fighters song to raise funds to support the staff and the communities in the northwest region of England.

So far they have successfully raised roughly £6,000 thanks to their video.

Liz Teijlingen-Bell and Laura Milner members also took part in the video.

The video was captioned: “Thanks for listening. This was a fun project for some of the staff working for the North West Ambulance Service. It was something positive to focus on during the recent tough times.”

Andrew Wood, the North West Ambulance Service team leader, said in the video that they were inspired by BBC Radio 1’s cover of the same song which was released in April.

“I decided to choose the song because the lyrics really hit home with everything that was going on with Covid-19 and the pressure that it was putting on all of the NHS, not just the ambulance service,” said Wood.

All the money raised is going straight to the North West Ambulance Service Charity.
