New Zealand Fashion Week: The Rundown

Fashionistas, get ready, because New Zealand Fashion Week – otherwise known as NZFW – is fast approaching!
The run of shows will take place from 27 Aug – 2 Sept and is arranged on an annual basis in order to bring both local and international designers together.
The aim of the showcase is to promote new collections and exciting brands, acting as the perfect promotional platform for designers to grow their businesses and raise awareness.
The multi-faceted fashion and lifestyle event anticipates a huge turnout and massive social media presence with its inspirational looks and dazzling demos.
The roster of talent this year is just as plentiful as the previous editions. The designers set to make an appearance and delight the audience with their latest garments are mega skilled and super excited about gracing the show with their products.
There are many designers attending – too many to list in their entirety! -but examples of hosts include Juliette Hogan, Kahu Huia, Rachel Mills, Jimi, Augustine, Pia, Penny Sage, Modes, Nola, Havilah, Hej Hej, Zambesi and Yvonne Bennetti.
Several shows will form part of the exciting NZFW programme. This includes the Mercy Auckland Hospice show (featuring Lorraine Downes), the New Generation Show and the Good Magazine Sustainable Style Show.
