New PlayStation Games are On the Way

It is being a surprise treat for the game lovers that Sony is bringing a lot more new PlayStation games to PC in this spring. Puza Snigdha reports.

Sony PlayStation president and chief executive officer Jim Ryan has announced in an interview with GQ that more PS4 exclusives are on the way. Calling it a “straightforward decision” he added, “We find ourselves now in early 2021 with our development studios and the games that they make in better shape than they’ve ever been before.”

“Particularly from the latter half of the PS4 cycle our studios made some wonderful, great games. There’s an opportunity to expose those great games to a wider audience and recognize the economics of game development, which are not always straightforward. The cost of making games goes up with each cycle, as the calibre of the IP has improved.”

The arrival of the new games follow the release of last year’s PC port of Horizon Zero Dawn.

Sony has also revealed a plan for a 30-minute State Of Play presentation set for later this week. The virtual show will will include a few new game announcements along with 10 games for the PS4 and PS5.

However, the exact release date of the games hasn’t been fixed yet. Developer Bend Studio confirmed the news and said, “Stay tuned for more details.”
