The actress Neil Young ends the two months rumors of his marriage by announcing her marriage to Daryl Hannah in a website where he urged fans to vote in the upcoming US midterm elections.
Neil posted his announcement in his website NeilYoungArchives.com, by adressing Hannah ‘my wife Daryl’.The singer released a new live video for his legendary Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young song, “Ohio,” on Tuesday, and shared the clip, along with a powerful message about gun control, to his official website.
The pair had been dating for four years, following the split of Neil’s first marriage to Pegi Young, after 36 years of being wed. Neil and Hannah, 57, have reportedly been in a relationship since 2014.
The marriage news of Neil came out in the perfect way for the politically charged pair. The couple had got private married ceremony in Atascadero, California, following a ceremony on the Canadian singer’s yacht, the Mirror reports.
“When the National Guard murdered four students at Ohio’s Kent State University for protesting the Vietnam War, it was a pivotal moment in our history. It was a pivotal moment for me,” wrote Neil in his post.
“Today’s students are brave, demanding change in violent times,” Young added. “We stand with them. They are us. We are them. This has been going on for far too long. My wife Daryl and I put this video together for you to reflect on,” said Neil and finished by urging his fans to go out and vote in the upcoming midterm elections.
However, the stars are being congratulated by the media.
