One of the biggest anime hits of recent years has finally made the jump to the big screen. Based off the 2014 and still running Manga. My Hero Academia follows the training of Deku – a student learning to be a hero and handle his ‘Quirk’ at U.A. High School.
Those familiar with Shounen franchises should feel right at home, and when the movies can feel flat and unrelated to the rest of the franchise. Heroes Rising is best enjoyed by fans of the series though, with a lot of character knowledge and terminology likely to aid with the viewing experience.
