SAMI NATHAN emerges from ITV’s The Voice with stunning new single ‘Older With You’

Now you may only have heard of her this year thanks to her appearance on ITV’s The Voice UK but now Sami Nathan is getting ready to emerge on her own. For those who watched her on The Voice UK let me just give you a quick recap; she won a place on Sir Tom Jones’s team on the Blind Auditions with her rendition of ‘At Last’ and won herself a place on The Battle round where she lost out to felloe contestant, Hannah Williams. Many people argued that she should’ve been kept on whilst many accused Olly Murs of not using his Steal to help secure her to the next round.

But anyways, she now embarking into the music scene her way with a new single called ‘Older With You’. The track itself is 4 minutes and 17 seconds long but definitely shows the best of Sami as an upcoming solo artist.

‘Older With You’ begins with a soft, melodic instrumental opening before you hear Sami’s beautiful, captivating voice which sounds older than her years. Her voice echoes the harmonious and hauntingly beautiful vocal force of the late Amy Winehouse, yet just as powerful in her own right.

Full of soul, emotion and energy, Sami is an absolute powerhouse of an artist.

The video for this song is actually quite good as is shown from the point of view of someone reminiscing about their current relationship and how it makes them feel. There are some elements of Sinead O’Connor’s ‘Nothing Compares 2 U’ in the video

Crazy P’s James Baron explores sensatory, soft-focus sound with debut EP

Meet James Baron, if you can remember a music group from the late 90’s called Crazy P then the chances are you will know James, if you don’t then don’t worry about it because he’s released a new EP called Falling Like You Know.

For those of you that are aware of Baron’s career, he has worked with various musical talents outside of Crazy P such as Ron Basejam, Secret Stealth and White Elephant. And now he has been busy working on his own solo material.

Here’s the track-list for yours truly:

Falling That You Know, Phoenix, Whisper In The Wind & You Know What To Say.

Overall, the album sounds both soft and melodic whilst mixed with some energetic guitar riffs and softly haunting vocals by James Baron. The album is a musical mixture of soul, indie, acoustic rock with a soft melody that weaves its way through all four tracks which takes you on a music journey from start to finish. On the whole, Falling Like You Know is a testament to James’s musical talents as an artist and is proof of his musical progression since his Crazy P days.
