We are back with the top music releases of this week, including The Weeknd’s “Take my breath” and Lizo’s “Rumor”.

LONG LIGHT drop shapeshifting sophomore single ‘Alara’

Created and performed by the vocal duo, Jo Williams and Lucas Polo, Alara is both a haunting and tropical new tune and is a musical mixture of synth, guitar, and vocals. Lyrically, there are a couple of lines that act as a sort of hook “If you need me, I’ll be here” “I’ll be here to keep you safe if you need me” and bring home a message about human touch and emotional comfort.

In terms of subject matter in music, Alara is all about making and keeping promises to people as well as pledging to support one and another as human beings. And in the current times, we are in now seems more important than ever. This was also recorded during the pandemic so the song itself took on another whole new meaning. Alara is taken from their debut, Choppy Water.

Lizo returns with new bop, ‘Rumors’ featuring Cardi B

‘Rumors’ is the latest collaboration of Lizo and Cardi B that brought epic visual proportions to the viewers. The song has a groovy, deep-bass synth and triumphant horns and Cardi B elevated the song with biting wit and flippancy. The song is directed by Tanu Muino.

Both Lizo and a heavily pregnant Cardi B are seen dressed as Greek Goddesses adorned with gold and confidence, twerking amongst celestial clouds.

Black Zang is back with his new RAP anthem, ‘Bangla Hype’

Bangladeshi Hip Hop Artist Asiful Islam Sohan, commonly known as Black Zang has released his new song ‘Bangla Hype’ . The tells how the rapper describes his constant effort to uphold Bangla HipHop music worldwide. ‘Bangla Hype’ is made for youths, especially for concerts and social media hypes. Shahan AHM, producer of the song tries a mixture of classical Bengali music and Hip Hop in the song.

The Weeknd returns with strobe-heavy visuals in “Take My Breath”

The Weeknd has returned with a new disco0-heavy track,’ Take my Breath’. If you have listened to The Weeknd’s global smash, ‘blinding lights’ and liked it, then you are surely up for a pleasant ride with this new retro song. The song was scheduled to air in the IMAX head of The Suicide Squad but was later pulled out due to epilepsy warnings regarding “intense strobe lighting.

So turn your brightness down and enjoy another masterpiece from The Weeknd.

Sub Urban & Bella Poarch drops ‘INFERNO’

Sub Urban and Tik Tok sensation Bella Poarch dropped a new collaborative single, ‘INFERNO; earlier on Friday. The music received a strong early positioning on the Spotify platform. The song also scored other noteworthy playlist spots, including the #9 ranking on the all-important New Music Friday.

Co-produced and co-written by Sub Urban, the breakthrough hit already boasted 200 million streams on the platform.
