‘Evermore’ by Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift is giving a Christmas treat to her fans with her ninth studio album, and second surprise LP of the year“ Evermore”. The surprise album is follow up to her previous eighth album ‘Folklore’ that released just five months earlier. Both albums were released just after a short notice. The album earned 169,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 24. Evermore also became number-one in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, UK, and the US. The album includes total 15 tracks.
‘Nightmare Vacation’ by Rico Nasty
The 23-year-old rapper released tracks after tracks as the December is a punk-rap party. There’s a utility in this album. It features guest appearances from rappers Trippie Redd, Aminé, Gucci Mane and Don Toliver, among others. It was released through Atlantic Records and her own Sugar Trap label. The album has combination of heavy instrument, and crude lyrics. The 39:30 length album includes total 16 tracks, among them singles “iPhone”, “Own It”, “Don’t Like Me”, “OHFR?” and “STFU”.
‘McCartney III’ by Paul McCartney
The third installment in McCartney’s was self-recorded and produced during the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown. The McCartney series began in 1970 and the third installment of the series is a surprise for the fans. McCartney II came in 1980. Just like the first two album, McCartney III features McCartney on all instruments. The album was recorded at McCartney’s studio in Sussex, England during the lockdown. McCartney III – Standard edition includes 11 tracks.
‘Swamp’ by Lil Darkie
The album was released on 25th December including 22 tracks. It features Afourteen, BLCKK, Bruhmanegod, Christ Dillinger, CSRPSE, Johnnascub, & Teenage Disaster. This album has a lot of interesting concepts. Darkie plays with multiple genres of music and mixes everything up a bit. The album is of pure energy which cannot be ignored.
‘Wonder’ by Shawn Mendes
The pop heartthrob’s lovestruck fourth album arrived at beginning of this month. Every song of the album is written is about his pop star girlfriend, Camila Cabello. The concept of the album is freedom and inspired by 60’s music. It includes 14 tracks and “Wonder”, “Monster” are the two singles of the album. Interestingly, Shawn Mendes got the word “wonder” tattooed on his right arm, back in August.
