Music Monday: Latest music releases of this week!

For this week, our music editor, Adam Humphreys brings you the three global releases that you should definitely add to your playlist!

Young sound alchemist Kaky returns with quirky new single “La Flemme”

The infamous French electro/dance singer, songwriter, and musician, Kaky, is back with a new single ‘La Flemm’.

It is an upbeat track that is 3 minutes and 4 seconds long that has got a nice free-running tempo and the lyrics, as you will have no doubt guessed are in Kaky’s home tongue of French. In some ways this adds a bit more depth and feeling to the song, especially when introduced to other nations, makes you want to listen to them more.

La Flemme, according to the man himself, is about how kooky our lives can be, especially in fast-paced city living, which at the moment would not be entirely out of place. It is also about how lazy you could feel in some contexts.

As far as songs go it could easily slot in quite nicely considering what’s going on in our daily city-dwelling lives right now.

As you would expect, the video for this song is just as kooky as the song itself and has the stamp of Kaky’s creativity on it. Just take a camcorder, a few gimmicks, a couple of items of transport, some quirky post-video effects than just let your mind go a bit. That’s Kaky’s video for this.

THe LYONZ release brand new EP- ‘Ecstasy’ – ‘Mystery Of Mr. E’

The Canadian duo, The LYONZ, are back with their brand-new EP titled ‘Ecstasy – The Mystery of Mr. E.’ two singles that they have decided to release as part of a joint pairing. Two hip-hop songs at their finest produced by the next biggest thing from across the Atlantic and if they are not on your musical radar, they really need to be by now (they’re on mine)

Ecstasy: 3 minutes and 22 seconds long, has that deep, dark urban dance edge to it. The first minute is just pure dark and edgy dance beats along with backing vocals before the main vocals kick in. For anyone that is intrigued by what it is all about it is about a guy, from the nightlife scene, who both meets and falls in love with a woman from the same scene.

Use the link below to see the video, it’s as good as the song itself and is as equally as edgy.

Mystery of Mr. E.- this one is 4 minutes long exactly and has something of a dark edgier feel to it, and in some ways that bit more intense. Mr. E. tells the story of a man who is something of a mystery, hence the title. Listen to the song and ask yourself ‘just who is Mr. E?’ is the one guy who is leading two separate lives, is he a potential representation of who we are or what we want ourselves to be.

Bhushan Kumar & Jubin Nautiyal come together for ‘Barsaat ki Dhun’

After delivering several record-breaking hit songs, Bhushan Kumar and Jubin are back with another love song. The song titled,’ Barsaat ki Dhun’ featuring Gurmeet Choudhary and Karishma Sharma was released on Youtube this week.

The song was inspired by Kumar Sau’s romantic number from the 1993 film, “Sir”. The song has been written by Rashmi Virag and composed by Rochak Kohli

‘Barsaat ki dhun’ is a wonderful track that you can listen to while enjoying a cup of coffee or driving on a rainy day. Everything from its lyrics, melody, to the music video is guaranteed to make you leave with a sense of warmth and love.
