TACHYS drops new single ‘Magenta’

Danish music duo, Jonas Bjerre and Tobias Wilner, who together make Tachys, have made their new single, Magenta, and it is a nod to 80’s electronic music beats and now. A bit of an electro-synth mixture with a bit of retro-type fusion all thrown in.

As a song in regards to its subject matter, it is about human actions and feelings of love, betrayal, and responsibility. Lyrically, the words sung in this tune are in a harmonious way in that they are smooth, soothing, and completely melodic considering that they are all to do with dealing with complex human emotions and the inner turmoil of the mind.

“Toning it down/Try as I might/Child always tends to worry for

naught/this is magenta we begot”

Overall, as a song, it is practically a work of genius as it is a direct nod to the 80’s musical creativity and artistic collaboration.

BASSICALLY sets the ‘Honey Trap’ with original EP

London-based DJ/producer and composer, Raz Olsher, also known by his stage name, BASICALLY, has released his new EP, which consists of 4 new songs. Following on from his remix released earlier this year, Nuclear War.

Well now his new musical creation, Honey Trap, is a cocktail of Afrobeat, minimal house, techno, and chillwave. Each of the tracks in the EP can only be described as addictive listening and has that standalone feel to them, in other words, it’s not an endless seam of tracks that blur into one huge one.

Honey Trap, Baby Steps, Jaguar Paw, and Catchweight. All fantastic in their own right and a work of utter genius when presented altogether. If you are the sort of music lover who likes an eclectic mix of different and various beats and tunes then check this out.

Sech lays down the gauntlet for Christmas chart-topper, with ‘Edge Of My Heart’

Berlin-based music supremo, Composer, and Song-writer, Sebastian Pecznik, better known by his nickname, SECH, has created and released his Christmas single, Edge of my Heart, and he has worked with British singer, Sophie Sutton. And the result is something quite heart-warming and soothing.

Whether or not you are a fan of either jazz, acoustic, orchestra, or pop the likelihood is that there will be something in this for you. Also, it is a Christmas song so you are allowed to make some sort of exception at least.

Straight from the start of the song it is filled with the upbeat, cheery beats and notes that you would expect from a festive track. Also, Sophie’s singing voice is soothing and elegant and hits all the high notes, if anything she is in the same musical vein as Kylie Minogue and Paloma Faith

Lyrically, the words sung in the just as upbeat and have that feeling of positivity, are uplifting and have a feel-good factor about them.

“The sun will come out as you figure it out if your world’s upside down/And I

know deep inside at the edge of your heart”

I openly admit I am not much of a jazz/pop fan at best but even I find this track both uplifting and somewhat addictive listening.
