Music Monday: Benedict Sinister unveils game style video for ‘Going Away’

French/Australian and masked singer, Benedict Sinister has made the officials music video for his latest single, ‘Going Away’, and it’s actually quite an interesting one. Adam Humphries reports.

The video itself is 4 minutes and 19 seconds long and packed full of eye-catching graphic designs. If you are a frequent player of video games then the concept in the creation shouldn’t be that alien to you. The video starts off with a robot dancing and then changes, showing more graphically computer-generated effects before ending on an entire group of robots dancing in unison.

Ironically the idea isn’t too far off what US singer Justin Timberlake did for his video, Filthy, the only difference being that he doesn’t actually appear in the video at all.

Interestingly enough there’s something quite genius about the whole thought process behind Benedict’s way of thinking in that you’re letting the work do the talking for you.

Going Away is a very good electronic/pop single and one for the dancefloor, not bad for a song that’s about break up’s.
