American pop star Miley Cyrus has collaborated with designers at sneaker company Converse to create a sparkling new sneaker collection to celebrate LGBTQ Pride month.
Posing photos with the sneakers which include a pink pair with glittery soles, a black pair with white soles, and bubblegum pink high-tops, the singer said she was ‘in love’ with the range.
The new offering includes a range of sneakers as well as a variety of apparel and accessories, from hoodies to backpacks. The line ranges from $22 to $100, making it accessible to Cyrus fans of all ages and walks of life.
The range is part of Converse’s Pride collection, the net proceeds of which go to the It Gets Better Project and The Happy Hippie Foundation a nonprofit founded by Cyrus to help inspire young people to fight against the injustice facing homeless LGBTQ+ young people.
“Whatever your gender, orientation, identity, Converse believes everyone is free to be whoever they are,” a message on Converse’s website adds.
“I definitely had my fans in mind and in my heart when I was creating,” says the star. “I put what they love about me and what I love about them into the design.”
