Metallica has been announced that they will perform at Stephen Colbert’s A Late Show: Super Bowl Edition on Sunday, February 7. Puza Snigdha reports.
The show will be live telecast at 11:35pm EST on CBS.
The band revealed the news on social media saying, “We’re celebrating Super Bowl LV with our friend @stephenathome on Sunday! Tune in to @colbertlateshow’s ‘A Late Show: Super Bowl Edition’ at 11:35 pm EST on CBS to catch our performance. #LSSC #LateShow”.
CBS Television Network. Stephen Colbert, Chris Licht, Tom Purcell and Jon Stewart will produce the show.
The playlist hasn’t been revealed yet. They may play their old hits or may something from the new projects.
Before this, Coldplay was the headliners of Super Bowl, Beyonce and Bruno Mars hit the stage to support.
On February 6, Green Day will perform on Saturday night as part of the 10th annual NFL Honors show. Moreover, The Weeknd has put up $7million of his own money for the special performance.
“We’re not bouncing off to another stadium and then cutting in, like some people have had to do [before]. We are fortunate enough in this situation that we are able to do a live, live show.”
Back in November, Metallica raised over $1.3 million for charity from “Live & Acoustic From HQ: Helping Hands Concert & Auction”.
