Metallica to Headline Five U.S. Major Festivals in 2020

Days after Metallica propelled a baffling site joined by a clock checking down to Thursday evening, the metal legends have uncovered the mystery of “Metallica XX”: Two-evening featuring spaces at five concerts in 2020.
Bringing about 10 distinct shows throughout the year, Metallica will also offer a unique setlist for each performance.
The legendary metal band will play Epicenter, Welcome To Rockville, Sonic Temple Art + Music Festival, Louder Than Life and Aftershock between May and October.
Epicenter will take place May 1-3 at the Charlotte Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. Welcome to Rockville will take place at its new location at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida, the weekend of May 8-10. Sonic Temple is on the books for May 15-17 at Columbus, Ohio’s MAPFRE Stadium. Then, in the fall, Louder Than Life will take over the Highland Festival Grounds at the KY Expo Center in Louisville, Kentucky, the weekend of Sept. 18-20 and Aftershock returns to Sacramento, California’s Discovery Park on Oct. 9-11.
“You know we love a challenge, so when Danny Wimmer Presents invited us to headline all five of their spring/fall U.S. rock festivals, that sounded like great fun. But play two separate sets on two nights in the same weekend? Definitely count us in! In another METALLICA first, we’ll be playing at all five of the Wimmer rock festivals in 2020 with two separate sets, one on Friday night, one on Sunday night,” said Metallica.
Tickets are available from 10th October PT for fan club members and past purchasers of tickets for Danny Wimmer Presents events. The general public on sale starts Monday, October 14. For each ticket sold through November 19, Danny Wimmer Presents will donate $.25 cents to All Within My Hands.
