Man stabbed in Trafalgar Square

By Shayan Shakir

A man was stabbed multiple times in Trafalgar Square, London, at around 9pm on Thursday.

The roads around most of the popular tourist spots have been closed off as the Metropolitan police hunts for the attacker. Five squad cars and the ambulance service pulled up at the scene and taped off large sections of the Square.

The 34-year-old victim, who was found suffering with wounds and injuries from the stabbing, has not been identified yet. The man’s condition is not believed to be life threatening.

After the incident was reported, the man was immediately treated by paramedics who arrived at the scene at 9.11pm. He was taken to hospital and is now in a stable condition.

The incident is not thought to have been related to terrorism, as it is believed that the attacker may have known the victim.
