MAMAMOO’s Wheein Drops Dazzling Teaser for ‘Water Color’

The Queens of K-Pop, MAMAMOO’s Wheein has released a dazzling teaser for the single ‘Water Color’, the title track of her upcoming EP ‘Redd’.

The teaser follows Wheein as she walks through a hallway amid the wreckage of a party, clad in a sky-blue tulle gown. A simple quote is prefaced by orchestral music: “Sometimes I feel like I don’t wanna smile. Still a dreamer. I draw myself.”

However, the track suddenly switches to a disco upbeat tune as the singer takes a seat on the sofa.

There are seven songs on the album, including an English version of the lead single, “Water Color.” Two impressive collaborations appear on ‘Redd’. pH-1 appears on ‘Trash,’ and GSoul appears on the fourth track, ‘Butterfly.’

Wheein has lyricist and composer credits for the song ‘OHOO’. She also features as a composer on ‘Trash’ and ‘Spring Time’.

‘Redd’ will arrive next week on April 13. The release was confirmed by her agency RBW in March followed by a teaser clip on Instagram.

MAMAMOO’s agency RBW Entertainment has recently took over WM Entertainment, home to K-pop acts Oh My Girl, B1A4, ONF, and singer Lee Chaeyeon of IZ*ONE.

With the solo release, fans are also expecting an update on Wheein’s RBW Entertainment contract renewal. Hwasa, Moonbyul, and Solar, all other MAMAMOO members have already decided to remain with the company, whereas, Wheein’s decision is still pending.

The company has repeatedly reassured fans that they will not let MAMAMOO dissolve, who have become one of the strongest groups in K-pop since their debut in 2014.

Although the single is Wheein’s third solo release, it is the first time she is releasing an EP. Her last solo song was ‘Soar’, which came out in September 2019.
