While stuck in lockdown as a result of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Louis Theroux has launched the new podcast, Grounded with Louis Theroux.

Using his free time to interview high profile figures, each episode will see Theroux dig into the psyches of his guests, giving listeners the chance to get up close to a range of interesting individuals.

Launching on BBC sounds on 20 April, with the first full episode set to be released on 27 April, Theroux’s first guest is writer and documentary filmmaker Jon Ronson. In the podcast they’ll discuss a range of topics, from their professional careers to how they are both handling the lockdown.

In a press release, Theroux said that he’s really loved doing these interviews, and that: “It’s been a chance to speak to people I admire, and have in-depth conversations with them about their lives, careers, and their most intimate feelings. Making a podcast and radio series is very different to my usual way of working, and for that reason, I’ve found it very fun and refreshing.”

Other guests that are set to feature on ‘Grounded with Louis Theroux’ include Lenny Henry, Boy George, Miriam Margoyles, and more.
