The world famous DJ Avicii, who passed away earlier this year, will be have a digital memorial, made up and shared by memories from fans. The content can be uploaded on the DJ’s official website, avicii.com, the digital campaign being launched by Avicii’s parents. Fans will be able to showcase stories of what Avicii meant to them. Tim Bergling, Avicii’s real name, died aged only 28 by a suicide.
“Tim created music that brought people together with timeless memories from all over the world,” the website reads. “We created this space so you could share your memories with us and let the world know what Avicii meant to you. His music and your memories are forever ”, commented the Bergling family.
Another well-known singer and DJ, Calvin Harris, will have a single featuring Avicii in a future track. When the EDM star passed away, Harris commented on Twitter:
