Korean Money Heist is On Process

The popular Spanish action thriller series Money Heist (La Casa de Papel), is coming with its Korean version on Netflix. Puza Snigdha reports.

Fans are wating for the 5th season but the creator Alex Pina is onboard with the Korean adaption by the direction of Kim Hong-sun, and the production is a collaboration by BH Entertainment and Contents Zium.

“Korean creators have been developing their own language and audiovisual culture for years. They have managed, like our series, to go beyond cultural borders and become a point of reference for thousands of viewers around the world, especially among young people,” said the creator.

Though the cast details have not yet been revealed but the Korean version is expecting 12 episodes.

The original series was released in 2017 which included five seasons.. Reportedly, the show’s fourth season was streamed by 65 million people just in four weeks after it released in April 2020.

“The international popularity of the Spanish series La Casa de Papel is proof that significant works based in different cultures and languages can be widely distributed by Netflix and loved by audiences worldwide,” said Netflix authority in a statement.

The final part production is under process. Two new cast will join the final season, Miguel Ángel Silvestre and Patrick Criad. With ten episodes the final season will tell the story of Denver’s childhood friend Manila.

Though the final season is in work but no release date hasn’t been revealed yet.
