Agatha Christie has always been a master of the “Whodunnit” style of murder mystery. Replicating that style with a certain grace, comes Knives Out, set in 2019 Massachusetts, in which a rich mystery novelist is found dead. Suspecting foul play, a detective is sent in to try to find the killer from a colourful cast of family members and friends, all devilishly devious and with their own secrets and motivations. With Jamie Lee Curtis, Chris Evans and Daniel Craig rounding out the cast to say the least, this looks like a wonderful modernisation of such a classic genre, with hopefully a few twists along the way to keep us guessing until the very end.
