Kanye West donates $126,460 to Chicago Mayoral : Midterm elections

The rapper Kanye West has donated $73,540 to Enyia last week for her to pay off a fine for not properly filing quarterly campaign and with West having then donated a further $126,460 to her campaign, total $200,000 according to Chichago Tribute.
Rapper Kanye West told his Twitter followers this week that he was “distancing” himself from politics because he’s tired of being “used.” His overpriced trainers probably don’t sell when he’s associating with a man who called some white supremacists “very fine people” and locks children in cages, West has pulled back.
Rapper Kayne West told his Twitter followers this week that he was “distancing” himself from politics because he’s tired of being “used.”Apparently, that fed-up feeling does not extend to local politics in general and Chicago mayoral candidate Amara Enyia in particular.
West, who was previously a vocal supporter of President Trump flaunting a MAGA hat whenever cameras were rolling in recent months, made an about face on Twitter last week, saying he realized “I’ve been used to spread messages I don’t believe in.”
“I also have to give a shoutout and kudos to Ye, who is from the South Side and is invested and committed to giving back to our city, I would like to thank my family, loved ones, and community for supporting my actual beliefs and my vision for a better world.” said Enyia.
Bill Daley, the fundraising leader in the mayor’s race, has raised $1.7 million from 37 donors. That includes $500,000 of his own money. The fact that Kanye’s cash came just days after West made national headlines during an Oval Office meeting with Trump made it fodder in the mayor’s race.
