This upcoming video game developed and published by Frontier Developments. The game is based on the 2015 film Jurassic World, and is scheduled for release on June 12, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game is set on the fictional island of Isla Nublar, as well as the surrounding islands of the fictional Las Cinco Muertes Archipelago. The player’s ultimate goal is to develop five-star parks across all islands. The game features approximately 40 dinosaur species at launch. Dr. Ian Malcolm assists the player through the game, and players will meet other key figures representing three branches of the park’s development: entertainment, security and science. Each of these characters will push their agenda at the players, trying to convince players to develop the park in accordance to their advice. They give players “contracts” to complete, which are a series of goals and objectives.
There are various emergency situations that may happen in the park, ranging from power failures, unpredictable weather, to dinosaurs breakouts, which must be addressed by players in order to ensure guests’ safety and happiness. Players can build an ACU Center and a Ranger Station, which are responsible for maintaining the park’s security, from sedating and transporting dinosaurs to fixing fences. Players can also control vehicles such as helicopters and trucks to do certain tasks. Players can also play as the enclosure maintenance staff from a first-person perspective.
