DC high school students were surprised yesterday (30 May) by the performance of Jack White.
That’s because during their lunch period, Jack White threw a pop-up show in the school’s atrium and played a 45-minute set for the kids. While the kids were busy in their morning classes, White and his backing musicians were able to set up quickly and quietly before the clock struck 11:45am. White invite a group of kids to rock with him on the steps while busting out “Seven Nation Army”.
“They knew we have this big atrium space, and they thought that that might be an appropriate place for him to set up and do a pop-up show,” said Principal Kimberly Martin.
It has been said that only Martin and one of the staff members knew about the special gig.
