Introducing Solace Women’s Aid – What’s On’s Charity of the Year

We are delighted to be the Charity of the Year for What’s On and hope to get to know you all over the months ahead. Our work involves supporting families experiencing domestic abuse and sexual violence – helping them to find safety, start their recovery journey and move on to live their best lives.

Our big news is that we have launched a new project with partners across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. The Labyrinth Project will support women’s centres, women’s groups and networks to help them and the women they support, to emerge stronger from the impact that the COVID-19 pandemic is having on women’s lives.

The project will contribute to systemic change for women by building capacity and forging stronger networks of support and shared learning locally and nationally. The Empowering Women Fund is the Labyrinth Project’s grants scheme, which will provide funding to support women’s organizations to develop innovative ways of empowering women in their local area and build capacity. If you are involved in a women’s group or know of a charity that needs vital funds, please do share this link. https://bit.ly/3nBvUmX

We look forward to telling you more about Solace next month, for more information visit www.solacewomensaid.org.
