President Meng Hongwei resigned as head of the international police agency while he was under investigation of china in the suspect of legal violation.
The news confirmed after Beijing declared that Meng Hongwei was under investigation in China. French police launched an investigation into the disappearance of Interpol‘s president.
Meng Hongwei was reported as missing by his wife on Sunday and his wife made emotionally plea for helping her to fing Meng. She said that Meng, beforing his disappearing sent a picture of a knife to warn her that Meng is in danger. She didn’t hear him since Meng went to China.
The disciplinary organ of China’s ruling Communist Party said, Meng Hongwei was “suspected of violating the law and is currently under the monitoring and investigation.”
Grace Meng sai, “from now on, I have gone from sorrow and fear to the pursuit of truth, justice and responsibility toward history, for the husband whom I deeply love, for my young children, for the people of my motherland, for all the wives and children, so that their husbands and fathers will no longer disappear.”
Kim Jong Yang of South Korea will become the acting president.
