Housebound

Cast: Morgan O’Reilly, Rima Te Wiata, Glen-Paul Waru, Cameron Rhodes and more

Hailing from New Zealand comes Housebound, which some people may find hitting a little close to home with current circumstances. After a (hilariously) botched robbery, a young woman is sentenced to eight months house arrest and finds herself moving in with her estranged mother. Locked in her house and unable to leave, she starts to suspect that her house may in fact have some kind of supernatural presence. Partly a mystery, with an uneasing sense of dread and comedic moments that still manage to shine through. Housebound may have you questioning parts of your own home with the paranoia it manages to seed. Managing to work on multiple fronts, you’ll find an interesting mystery presented here that should will have you questioning everything you see and that still manages to shine along the way. Despite initially releasing in 2014, this is certainly one that may sit in the back of your mind for years to come.
