This one’s tough to talk about, because the trailers and previews seem really cryptic, and I get the feeling the less you go in knowing about Hereditary the better. Receiving high amounts of praise from its festival premieres and early reviews. It seems this takes a unique twist on horror, going away from jump scares and quick thrills, but instead relying on slow burning terror and paranoia to fuel the sense of dread throughout. I’d definitely look into this if you consider yourself a horror fan, and if you scare easily…maybe you should sit this one out.
