Help Save Lives With Sands

Did you know that every year in the UK around 5,000 babies are stillborn or die within their first four weeks of life? That’s 14 babies every day and every baby that dies has parents and families who need care, support and above all, hope.

Sands is the leading baby loss charity in the UK; saving babies’ lives, and providing and improving the quality of care and support for anyone affected by the death of a baby.

This year has been very tough for us all, and the impact of coronavirus has left many families vulnerable and isolated from their loved ones.

Now more than ever, Sands is determined to make sure they are there for anyone affected by baby loss.

This July, Sands has launched a special mission to the Moon and back and your support is crucial right now.

On the 20th July 1969, the world watched in wonder as Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. Going to the Moon and back was a journey full of challenges and everyone at Sands knows what it means to face such a journey.

When a baby dies, every parent leaves their old life behind and begins a journey into what can feel like complete darkness. Sands walks with people, to offer support, to shine a starlight of hope and help everyone find a way through.

Please help to raise a pound for every mile of Sands’ mission and create a legacy of hope and comfort for every bereaved family.
